Video review

Hello everybody!!

Today this entry is sad. I have to say goodbye to the subject of ICT of the masters, but I will not say goodbye to ICTs in fact, I will keep on using them and discovering new ones.

I have created a video, it talks about each and one of the posts I have uploaded in this blog, my Twitter account, the Pinterest one too!

I have created it using Windows Movie Maker. It is a tool I used for the first time when I did the video of the penguins and the polar bear, that you can check here! It is very easy to use and it allows you to put different songs, add features to the video like narration, etc.

As the video is a review of this blog, I recommend that you watch it so you can understand what this blog is about and what each entry means, following the instruction we were given.

Flipgrid Video

Hello everybody!

Today Im going to talk to you about FlipGrid, it is an online network, where people that take part in education, share videos telling different stories.

In my case, I talked about how I am dealing with confinement. I am living with my dad in Asturias while my mom is in another city because she is a nurse and she could put us un danger in case she had the virus, which she does not have.

Storyboard video

Hello everybody!!
LET'S SAVE THE  POLES!

As in the last entry I talked to you about a comic me and my group mates, Tamara Fullola and Monica Gutierrez have designed, today I'm here to ell you that we have made a video, actually, we have created, edited and posted a video.

To do this we have used a tool called Windows Movie Maker, most of you might know about it as it is very famous and most of the computers with a Windows Software have it.

What you might not know is how we did this being hundreds of kilometres away.

We had to synchronise our voices, the videos we found and also the music in the background to make it look as good as possible. We set all the videos in the same order as the story in the comic and then we added our voices, music and some effects to give it a more beautiful look.

Both the video and the comic, are about the climate change, we wanted to do this because nowadays is an issue that concerns all of us and we have to start working on it from the youngest generations, the children.

Storyboard your video project

Hello everyone!

Today I have a double project to show you.

First of all, in this entry I'm going to talk to you about the comic I have created among with two other girls from my master's class.

It is about climate change, we wanted to warn children about it in a way they could understand it perfectly.

We have used the same tool as the last comic I posted, STORYBOARD, it is very useful for teachers when they need a comic for the class, but at the same time, unless you have premium you cannot draw more than 6 squares.

In the next entry I will post a video we have done that is related to this comic.

Podcast

HELLO EVERYBODY!

I have created a podcast. It is very useful to keep on working with our students the capital cities and to finish up the project. 

In the document you have underneath this text, you can find the script f the podcast and also the objectives of this activity, the competences that will be developed, the tools and the activities that we will do with the students.

The platform I have used to edit and record the podcast is called AUDACITY, it is explained in the document, but it is useful to work with audios for many media like radio or TV. You can edit, cut, paste and transform many sounds and include them in an audio like I have done.

Then I uploaded the audio on SOUNDCLOUD in my channel that I have uploaded as well as the podcast itself. 

You can stay update to the next podcasts I will upload to the channel.

Hello everybody!!

Today I'm going to talk to you about a new tool I have discovered called VENGAGE.

VENGAGE is used mainly to do infographics, it allows you to choose between different templates, then change them as you want, you can add other photos, change the color of the letters, etc. It is very useful for us teachers to create infographics for our students,

This time I have used it to keep on working the main capital cities in Europe. Students should be able to locate them more or less on the map, so this infographic can be used as  a tool to reinforce their knowledge.

As you can see in the image below, the names of the cities are located on the left, each country with their capital city. And next to it, in the map, I have put a blue symbol to locate the capital city.

Hello friends!

I have created a mind map to keep working the contents mentioned on the last entry.

It is about the countries and capital cities in Europe, their location and main features.

I have used a tool called MindMeister.

It is simple to use, but in case you want to add any special feature you would have to pay for it.

Students can click on the white symbol that is on each feature and it will show them the specific theory that they have to know about those countries. 
Also, next to some features there is a small arrow that links the students to an image of the map of the continent, another one links them to a song about Europe and its capital cities, and the other two link them to two different games: a Kahoot and a Quizlet matching game.

I have also added a little symbol on each feature so they know more or less how is the weather on those countries, and it will also help them locating the countries.


There is also an option for teachers if you want to use it with your students you can copy it and download it in your MindMeister account.

Hello again friends!

I have created a comic that can be used in a 3rd year class, in Social Sciences. We cn work with our students the topic of the capitals of Europe.

I did it with a tool called STORYBOARD, it is used mainly to create comics, it has pros and cons:

PROS:

• You can design your characters, choose their size, skin color, etc.
• It is very easy to use, doesn't imply a big effort to work with it.

CONS:

• If you don't want to pay it has very limited features.
• You can only make 2 comic strips of 3 squares each, in total 6 squares to make a comic, and this is very short.

TIP: I made strip by strip and I did a screenshot of each and at the end I arranged them all together in Paint.

Hello again friends!!

I'm aware we are not going though a good time, so here I post the link to a new genially I have created about animals. 

Genially is a tool that creates a presentation, some might think Power Point is the best and easiest way to do this, but that's because they haven't discovered Genially  yet! You can design your presentation online and make it look like the contents are alive!!

Posters, presentations, timelines, documents, thematic maps and postcards can be created.

It is a short didactic unit in which we can practice with students the names of animals and the things they can or can't do.
Grammar is very important, this can be worked in a year 2 class to study the can/can't structure.

My name is Aida, I'm 22 years old. Im an English teacher for Primary Education students. 

I love football, music and skiing. One of my biggest talents is that I can play the piano, ski profesionally and speak Polish.

Bitmoji is a fantastic tool for teachers because each student can create their own avatar, then we can upload it to ClassDojo so that each student, instead of being a little monster can have a drawing of themselves.

I found very quick and easy to create my own bitmoji and also quite interesting and funny to choose one. This can be a good way to motivate our students and help them having a good time.
